Using one piece of multi coloured fabric and a few simple cuts, this quilt top can be created quickly to form the pallette of an inspiring art quilt.
Techniques



  • innovative basting method

  • free form quilting with walking foot or free motion

  • bobbin work with decorative threads

  • basic beading stitches including seed stich, stop stitch, fringing and lazy stiches

  • finishing techniques including bindings and facings and hanging sleeves


Skill Level- Beginner - Intermediate
Class length - one to two days. If two day class selected, additional instruction in more complex beading stitches and quilting.
Class outcome - basted and semi quilted quilt with separate bead sample piece
